MONROE - The Monroe Public Library will host author and environmental consultant Steven Apfelbaum for a presentation at 6 p.m. March 27.
Apfelbaum is the author of "Nature's Second Chance: Restoring the Ecology of Stone Prairie Farm," describing how he and his partner transformed depleted southern Wisconsin farmland into a prairie.
Apfelbaum has spent more than 30 years on his acreage in Green County, revitalizing the land and using the things he learns on his farm in his consulting business. He will touch on ecology, clean water and sustainable land use.
The presentation is free and open to the public.
