MONROE - An "Art X TravaganZa" Flash Show will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. March 2 and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 3 at 1723 11th St. in a pop-up gallery site.

Items on display and for purchase include notecards, jewelry, pottery, photography and paintings.

The venue, a vintage gas station, is owned by and made available for the event by Russ and Nadine Brown of Monroe. The building is located just off the Square, within walking distance of local restaurants and businesses and directly across the street from the Monroe Post Office.

The hosting organization, Blindspot Collaborative, has a goal to facilitate a family-friendly free venue for all to explore the world of the arts and meet some of the artists.

Works by Jan Douglas, Tina Duemler, Kathy King, Jocelyn Kline, Rich Krake, Mark Lajiness, Patrick McGowan, Gigi Mullen, Jan Norsetter, Georgene Pomplun, Jennifer Rikkers, Mindy Reinstra, Bob Sampson, Diane Washa and Jonathan Wilde will be for sale.

A silent auction will be held for the original posters created by the artists. Proceeds from the silent auction and from free-will donations for tea, coffee and cider will benefit the Monroe High School and the Albany High School art departments.
