NEW GLARUS - Support the Friends of New Glarus Public Library and play footgolf in May at Argue-Ment Golf Course.
Footgolf is an activity for all ages and fitness levels. It is a cross between soccer and golf and is played with a soccer ball. Find more information about the new sport at www.arguementgolf.com.
Teams of up to four people can play. Argue-Ment Golf Course will keep a running tally during the month to recognize the lowest-scoring teams.
Tickets for the fundraiser can be purchased only at the New Glarus Public Library. The ticket price to play nine holes is $10 per person or $35 for a book of four tickets. For every ticket sold, $5 will be donated to the Friends.
Footgolf rounds can be scheduled anytime during the month of May. Call Argue-Ment Golf Course at 608-527-6366 in advance for tee-time reservations. Players may take their own soccer ball or reserve one, for a fee, when a tee time is scheduled.
Events like this, along with membership and donations, raise the funds necessary for the Friends to support the New Glarus library's facilities and services that are beyond the scope of the library staff and its budget. Friends of the New Glarus Public Library is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
Contact the New Glarus Public Library at 608-527-2003 with any questions.
