Raylan Heins, age 8, and his mom, Nicole, plant flowers on the north side of the square on Saturday, May 18. The joint effort between Main Street Monroe and GFWC Monroe Woman’s Club happens annually, with 45 pots being filled by volunteers from both organizations. This year’s pots are filled with Canna Bronze Scarlet, Gaura Lindheimeri, Profusion Red Zinnias, and Pittsburg Ivy.
