MONROE - The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), in collaboration with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (DOT) Aeronautics Division, will conduct a pilot safety program at 7 p.m., June 28, at the Monroe Arts Center.
William Law, Operations Program Manager from the FAA's Great Lakes regional office, will discuss the new "Wings" pilot proficiency program.
Jeffery Taylor of the Wisconsin DOT Aeronautics Division will introduce the Wisconsin DOT's products that assist pilots in flying safely within the state.
Scott Landorf, Airworthiness Program Manager from the FAA's Great Lakes regional office, will present a program that explains the new "Sport Pilot Rule and the Light Sport Aircraft Category."
The program is part of the FAA's nation-wide FAA Safety Team Program.
The FAA will also provide free safety brochures and flying safety DVDs for those who attend. There is no cost to attend.
