'Pedal for Paws' event set for July 9

MONROE - The 2011 Green County Humane Society Pedal for Paws event will be held July 9.

Participating riders will tour scenic Southern Wisconsin on three different routes, which all begin at the New Glarus Railroad Depot, New Glarus. Registration can be made prior to July 1 with fees at $30 for individuals, $55 for families (2 adults/2 children), and $10 for additional children and 15-17 year-olds.

Registration fees after July 1 are $40 for individuals, $65 for families, and $20 additional children and 15-17 yearolds.

Registration will also be able to be made from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on the morning of the ride.

Food and beverages will be available at rest stops on all the routes. There will also be Support and Gear (SAG) service along the routes. SAG service and rest stops are available until 2 p.m. Biker pledges are encouraged.

With each additional $100 in pledges, riders earn additional door prize tickets. An after-ride party will be held at Toffler's Bar & Grill, New Glarus.
