MONROE — Find your zaniest getup or most elegant ensemble for you and your pooch and get ready to strut your stuff on the catwalk: Paws on Parade, a costumed pet walk for companion animals and the people who love them, is coming to Monroe’s Square on Friday, July 12 during Main Street Monroe Concerts on the Square.
The event will include up to 30 costumed pets and their owners parading for concert-goers at intermission. The concert, sponsored by Colony Brands, begins at 6:30 p.m. on the south side of the Square and will feature pop and rock band Reloaded. Intermission and Paws on Parade will be at approximately 7:30 p.m.

The cost to enter is $5. Registration is limited to the first 30 participants.
Any domestic animal is eligible for Paws on Parade. However, animals must be leashed and kept under their owner’s control. Concerts on the Square attracts large crowds, and participating animals should be comfortable around noise and strangers. Owners are responsible for picking up after their pets.
