Parks and Rec to host medieval play day

MONROE - The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is planning a Princess and Pirate/Knight Day for kids ages 3 to 10 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 3 at Northeast Park.

Children can come dressed like a princess, knight or pirate and be ready to play games, ride the pony, make a craft and read stories. Girls and boys will learn to be kind, loyal, brave and strong as they play games and do crafts together. Children will also meet a real princess and pirate that day.

The fee is $12 for residents and $17 for non-residents.

Children may register online or at the Streets Department, 2064 5th Ave. Call 329-2460 for more information.
