EVANSVILLE — Parents that are feeling the daily challenges and sometimes ostracizing in raising a child with ADHD can come and learn from an expert panel on ways to support their child and family with solutions that work. Families will learn about the importance of sleep and the role of food, screen time, emotional support, and movement/exercise play in caring for kids with ADHD.
The presentation is being held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 19 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 312 S. Third Street, in Evansville. The event is free and open to all. ADHD appropriate childcare will be available.
The panel includes Dr. Allison Becker, Naturopathic Doctor, Brittany Shotliff, Child Educational Advocate (IEP/504 Specialist), Dr. Marlo Zarzaur, ADHD Child & Family Counselor, and Ashley Verbick, ADHD Occupational Therapy Practitioner. The panelist will answer questions and provide a guidebook featuring local resources and practical ADHD support tools.
