MADISON - A panel on sustainable farming will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Lussier Family Heritage Center, 3101 Lake Farm Road. Special talks include a panel session "How does Continuous Living Cover Restore our Landscape?" with award-winning author Steve Apfelbaum, Jacob Marty of Green Fire Farm, and UW-Madison agroecologist Chris Kucharik, followed by a panel session titled "Advancing Agroforestry in the Heartland" Plenary panel featuring diverse and visionary perspectives.
Lunch and dinner will be provided Wednesday. A highlight of the Perennial Farm Gathering is the perennial favorite, "In a Nutshell" talks, where attendees can give a five-minute update on their work.
