'Paint our town purple' for cancer survival is this week

MONROE - This week, businesses and individuals throughout Monroe will "paint our town purple" to celebrate cancer survivorship and bring attention to the American Cancer Society's annual "Relay For Life," which will be held on Saturday at the Monroe High School track. To participate, area homeowners, restaurateurs or retail business operators/owners, can paint the town purple this week with various ideas, including: • Decorating homes or store windows with a purple display. • Displaying a purple yard sign in the front yard.
