MONROE - Erika Janik, freelance writer and executive producer of "Wisconsin Life" at Wisconsin Public Radio, will be the featured speaker for the Green County Genealogical Society's meeting at 10 a.m. May 7 in the second floor meeting room of the Monroe Public Library.

Janik will speak about the strange origins of medicines used by our ancestors that led to modern medicine.
