MONROE - The first program of the 2016 season of Midday Masterworks, a quarterly organ mini-recital series, will feature music written by composers whose birthdays are in January. Scheduled for 12:15 p.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church, 2227 4th St., Monroe, and repeated at 5:15 p.m. at St. Victor Church, 1760 14th St., Monroe, the program will include works by W.A. Mozart, John Stanley and French organists Marcel Dupré, Charles Tournemire and Théodore-César Salomé.
