ORANGEVILLE - Mighty Richland Players Dessert Theater will perform the comedy "Opal's Million Dollar Duck" Sept. 18 through 20.

While rooting through Opal's Antique Junque Shop, two summer-stock leads come across a painting that looks a lot like an old master that disappeared from the local art museum. In order to collect the insurance themselves, the divas, Desmond and Queenie, try to acquire the painting from Opal, who has other plans for the painting. The plot of this lively comedy by John Patrick thickens when the two stars resort to everything from outrageous flattery to knockout drops trying to get their hands on the picture.

The director is Kim McIver, and cast members include Amy Jo Beightol, Sandy Sweitzer, Dawn Degenhardt, and Josh Dotzel.

During intermission, homemade dessert and hot cider will be served.

Shows are at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 and 19 and at 2 p.m. on Sept. 20 at the theater on 203 Ws High St.

Ticket prices are $20 per adult and $15 for children under 12. Group rates are also available.
