ORANGEVILLE - Community Foundation of Northern Illinois recently awarded Orangeville a $500 grant from the Foundation's President's Discretionary Fund for a summer band concert series.
Concerts will be conducted Wednesday nights. Beginning June 23 and running eight weeks through mid August, all local and regional musicians and singers are invited to participate. Band and chorus are open to anyone of any age who plays an instrument or sings. Rehearsals will be held on Thursdays, beginning May 27. Band rehearsal will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m.; choral rehearsal will run from 8-9 p.m. at the high school music room.
