MONROE - As people age, changes in vision, flexibility, strength, range of motion, and even size and height may reduce comfort and control behind the wheel of a car. The Green County Aging and Disability Resource Center is offering CarFit screenings by appointment in Monroe during Older Driver Safety Awareness Week, through Friday. CarFit is a national program developed by AAA, AARP and the American Occupational Therapy Association and is designed to give a quick yet comprehensive check on how well older drivers and their vehicles work together.
A CarFit screening appointment can be made by calling the Aging and Disability Resource Center at 608-328-9499.
