MONROE - November is National Family Caregiver Month and the Green County Caregiver Coalition wants residents to learn how they can support the hidden force of family caregivers working to support the aging population.
There are events for family caregivers as well as advocates, including
Caregiver Support Group from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Monroe Clinic Café Rooms 2 and 3. Caregivers are welcome to come ask questions, share tips and connect. Drop-ins welcome.
Caregiver Renewal Day on Friday at Bridges Restaurant and Banquet Center, Darlington. The event will have a free lunch. To RSVP, contact the ADRC at 608-328-9499.
Memory Changes Program on Nov. 21 at Behring Senior Center, Monroe. Events include an open discussion on memory changes, Dr. Joshua Morrison presentation and memory screening. Free program.
Caregiver Coalition Annual Meeting from noon to 1:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Monroe Clinic Café Conference Rooms 2 and 3. The results of a caregiver research study done in Green County will be presented by Dr. Paul Smith from University of Wisconsin-School of Medicine.
