Second-grade artists at Northside Elementary School in Monroe took over a two-day project inspired by the work of Vincent van Gogh. 

On day one, students used pencil to draw flowers in a vase, then outlined their subjects with glue. By the second day, the dried glue had created textured borders that aided students’ experimental mixing of chalk colors.
