Nine guests speak at Black Hawk career day

SOUTH WAYNE - Black Hawk Schools held a Spring Career Day, where nine guests spoke to the middle school and high school students, on Thursday, April 17.

Brianna Ditzenberger, of Filament Marketing, Inc., Madison, was the headline speaker. Ditzenberger is a 2006 graduate of Black Hawk High School. She earned her degree in life sciences communications from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is employed by Filament Marketing, Inc. as an account manager.

In addition to Ditzenberger as speaker, Black Hawk students rotated through eight professionals in fields such as personal finance, insurance, engineering, performing arts, nursing and sports medicine. Professionals who attended include Kim Havens, Havens Financial, Darlington; Neil Homb, Apogee Engineering; Sue Monson, nursing, Monroe Clinic; Dayna McKilligan, athletic trainer, Monroe Clinic; Jim Faith, Faith Engineering, Monticello; Matt Yorde, project manager, Faith Technologies, Monticello; Catie O'Connell, director, Monroe Theatre Guild; and Gretchen Bockenhaur, IIW Engineers, Architects, Surveying.
