MONROE — National Historic Cheesemaking Center announces that it has received a grant from the Monroe Fund of the Community of Southern Wisconsin, Inc. to support their project entitled “ADA Approved Railing for the West Exit from the Cheese Center Museum.”
Steps were removed and a new concrete ramp was built this spring. The iron railing designed by Burchard Welding, Juda, has been installed and is ready for use.
This grant is made available from the Community Foundation’s Monroe Fund. The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin is a resource for area nonprofit organizations whose programs and services are working for the betterment of our communities. Grants from the Monroe Fund have supported the arts, education, environment, health and human services and historic preservation.
