NEW GLARUS — The New Glarus Skills USA Chapter participated at the State Skills USA Conference in Madison April 9-10. New Glarus High School students participated in Carpentry, Additive Manufacturing, Facilithon, Team Engineering Challenge, Woodworking, Metal Sculpture, Job Skill Demonstration, and Medical Terminology events.
Danika Doll received a gold medal for her medical demonstration. Doll will have the opportunity to travel to the national conference in Atlanta from June 24-28 to represent Wisconsin in that category.
Out of 38 competitors, Max Marty received a bronze for his Engineering Design presentation using Fusion 360.
“We had some outstanding efforts from all of our student competitors that ended just outside the podium. We are super proud of Max and Danika for bringing home the bronze and gold medals,” said Tyler Bass, student advisor.
