NEW GLARUS — The New Glarus High School math team has once again proven their strong math knowledge and skills with an outstanding performance at the Spring Capitol Conference Math Meet. The team earned second place overall, narrowly finishing behind Lakeside, but their excellent effort has once again resulted in a win in the Capitol Conference South, where they have now claimed victory in both the fall and spring meets this year.
The varsity team was led by standout performances from Clayton Streiff and Eli Smith. Clayton Streiff tied for first place as the highest-scoring individual at the meet. The team’s strong finish was also a result of the collective hard work and determination from all team members.
In addition to the varsity team’s success, the junior varsity (JV) competitors also made a strong showing. Ryder Ziperski was recognized for his outstanding performance in the JV meet, further highlighting the depth of talent within the team.
“We are so proud of our team’s effort this season,” said Karen Wenger, the team’s coach. “Not only did they perform incredibly well at the Spring Capitol Meet, but they also demonstrated remarkable teamwork, determination, and passion for mathematics throughout the year.”
With this victory, New Glarus High School’s math team continues to set a high standard for excellence, and their success at the Capitol South Math Meet marks another milestone in the team’s ongoing pursuit of mathematical achievement.
