NEW GLARUS — In May, the New Glarus Public Library began a strategic planning process to gather community input to develop library service priorities that meet community expectations.

The library’s goal throughout the process was to see how to best meet community needs. Three core community priorities and goals were developed: to celebrate culture and heritage, to focus on families and education and to create a community hub where people can gather and connect with each other.

The survey was available via the library website from Feb. 7 through early March. Additional responses were submitted after the link to the survey was removed from the library website and those were included. The library has begun making changes to programming and services to accommodate the indicated needs and wants.

The strategic plan has been approved by the Library Board of Trustees.

It is available in the library and can be accessed online from the library website: www.newglaruspubliclibrary.org/.
