New pastor comes to Cornerstone Lutheran Church of Argyle

ARGYLE — For 25 years the church on the hill, just south of Argyle, has been the worship center for people from Argyle, Darlington, Monroe, Monticello, Blanchardville, New Glarus and even Brodhead.

Rick Gleason, ordained pastor and former director of Green County’s Family Promise organization, recently joined Cornerstone Lutheran Church of Argyle to serve as the Pastor.

“I served as a pulpit-fill pastor at Cornerstone for several months,” said Gleason, “But it soon became clear to me that this modest and Bible-believing congregation needed a faith leader and I felt God calling me to fill that role.”

Gleason’s ministry studies include instruction at the Charles Stanley Ministry, United Christian Faith Ministry and Newburg Theological Seminary. Besides being ordained as a pastor, Gleason also completed training for Emergency Services Chaplain, Christian Counseling and Crisis Management.

Gleason is a two-time veteran. He and his wife of 33 years are blessed with two daughters, four grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

“I am passionate about sharing the Good News and bringing people into a relationship with God,” explains Gleason. “Cornerstone’s goal is to honor God by sharing the light and joy that comes from fellowship with him.”

Cornerstone Lutheran Church offers several Bible Studies, Men’s Group and Women’s Group fellowship activities,  Sunday School, Vacation Bible School,  as well as weekly 10 a.m. Sunday worship services. Anyone searching for a church home may check out what this humble but joyful church offers.
