PAOLI — From Jan. 15-16, acclaimed New Orleans chef, TV personality, and cookbook author Eric Cook will be at Seven Acre in Paoli for two unique dinners to support the release of his new cookbook, Modern Creole: A Taste of New Orleans Culture and Cuisine.

“I’m looking forward to traveling to Wisconsin and sharing our love of family traditions and gathering together in the kitchen to celebrate great food and great friends,” Cook said. “Like in Wisconsin, Louisiana thrives from its hardworking families of farmers and fishermen that make our special occasions possible and keeps us coming back to the table for more.

Cook’s visit to Seven Acre features two dinners. The first dinner on Jan. 15 showcases dishes from his award-winning restaurant, Gris Gris. Gris-Gris has received many awards and accolades including Best Chef (EATER NOLA, Reader’s Choice), Best New Restaurant (New Orleans CityBusiness), and Best Gumbo in New Orleans (USA Today).

The second dinner on Jan. 16 showcases dishes from his newest restaurant, Saint John. Since opening in 2021, Saint John has received high praise from neighbors and new visitors to New Orleans and has received many culinary honors including Best New Restaurant in Louisiana (Louisiana Life Magazine) in 2022, along with Food & Wine’s Editors Best Meals of 2022.

Both dinners will feature storytelling, a meet and greet, and book signing with Chef Cook and both dinners will also showcase recipes from Modern Creole. With approximately 120 food and cocktail recipes, and vibrant, dynamic culinary photography that captures the chef’s bad boy rock-and-roll style, Modern Creole, with a foreword by Gordon Ramsay, winds through Southern, Cajun, and Creole genres fulfilling home cooks’ desire for dishes that are accessible and straightforward enough for an everyday meal, yet impressive enough for company or the holiday table.

The star-studded lineup includes more than 30 James Beard nominations and awards, seven Michelin Guide mentions, and critical acclaim for more than a dozen published books on food published by series guests.
