BROOKLYN — On June 20, the 2025 Green County Dairy Queens’ banquet was held at the Brooklyn Community Center. The night started off with moo-tails and a welcome speech from Jillian Malkow, a former Brooklyn Dairy Queen. The queens were then introduced and asked the final question.
The banquet, which followed, consisted of several speeches, one introducing a new award “Outstanding Community Queen Award” which was awarded to Lindsey Kramer the 2024 Brooklyn Dairy Queen.
Tess Zettle then introduced the 2024-25 Dairy Princess, Reese Speth. Speth spoke of her experience as green counties Dairy Princess over the last year, said thank yous, and gave advice for the new Dairy Princess. Speth’s family then removed her crown and sash.
Green County Fairest of the Fair, Katie Brooks, then took to the mic, giving advice to the next Queen and Princess.
Zettle also introduced the 2024-25 Dairy Queen, Keira Brunner. Brunner gave her final speech as Dairy Queen and left a lasting impression on the audience and told the next queen to enjoy every moment. Brunner’s family then removed her crown and sash.
The Dairy Queens stood hand in hand, waiting in anticipation of who would be the 2025-2026 Queen and Princess.
Then the first name was announced: the 2025-2026 Dairy Princess is Emerson Holloway of Belleville, with Speth crowning Holloway before the new Princess gave her acceptance speech.
Next, the county's 2025-2026 Dairy Queen was announced: Izzy Isely of Argyle.
Keira Brunner crowned Isely, who also gave a thank you speech.
The banquet was closed out by Lindsey Kramer.
Among a variety of appearances these next 12 months, the queens will be serving ice cream inside the Green County Ag Chest's trailer at the Green County Fair, July 16-20.
