Several New Glarus High School Band and Choir students were recently selected as WSMA State Honor Musicians. Each year students audition for more than 1,250 positions in five ensembles: Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra, Treble Choir, & Mixed Choir. The WSMA State Honors Music Project brings some of Wisconsin’s top young musicians together with nationally known conductors in a highly disciplined, professional setting. Selected students will perform at the Overture Center during the State Music Convention in October. From left to right: Nathan Heil, Amelia Geib, Elena Marune and Trenton Hendrickson.
