New Glarus Harvest Fest to be held Sunday

NEW GLARUS - The Swiss Historical Village and Museum's annual Harvest Fest will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Museum grounds, 612 7th Ave., New Glarus.

The old world traditional activities of beekeeping, cheesemaking, blacksmithing, basket weaving, quilting and soap making will be on display. In addition, all 14 buildings that comprise the Swiss Historical Village will be open, and guides will be sharing the unique history of New Glarus.

A special reduced admission of $5 for adults and $3 for children will be charged during Harvest Fest. Membership information for the New Glarus Historical Society also will be available. Many volunteers make this annual event such a success.

Owned and operated by the non-profit New Glarus Historical Society, the Swiss Historical Village and Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week through Oct. 15. The website is swisshistoricalvillage.org.
