National 4-H week noted this week

MONROE - 4-H youth will be celebrating 2008 National 4-H Week Oct. 5-11 by raising awareness about environmental issues and initiating environmental projects.

Many Green County 4-H clubs will decorate windows to show what their club does and how 4-H impacts their lives.

Green County 4-H members ask their community to join the 4-H at the Green County F.A.R.E annual open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Government Services Building.

The Green County F.A.R.E. is a geared toward youths and adults who would like to learn more about the Green County4-H Program. This is enrollment time for the 19 4-H clubs in Green County, and youth and adult volunteers will answer any questions you may have about 4-H. In Green County, more than 600 4-H members and 350 volunteers are actively involved in 4-H.
