MONROE - Monroe Theatre Guild's Youth Choirs will present their spring concert at 7 p.m. on Sunday March 21, in the concert hall at the Monroe Arts Center. Both the Junior Choir, ages 7-12 and the Senior Choir, ages 13-25, will be performing "The Music of Broadway." Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and admission is by donation.
The MTG Youth Choir program made its debut in the spring of 2009 and currently has 35 students enrolled. No previous vocal training or choral singing experience is required of the participants. As with all MTG youth programs, no one is turned away from inability to pay choir fees. In this spring session, the Monroe Morning Optimists sponsored 16 choir members.
