MONROE - The Care Net Pregnancy Center of Green County and the Wisconsin Family Council have partnered to offer a free movie and filmmaking workshop on Saturday, May 16, at the Monroe Middle School auditorium.

The filmmaking workshop will be held at 4 p.m. featuring director/producer/co-writer George Escobar, founder of the Advent Film Group (AFG). He brings 20 years of experience in film, television and interactive media. Escobar's other career accomplishments include former Vice President of Product Development for Discovery and the former Executive Director of AOL/Time Warner. Anyone interested in learning more about filmmaking and/or meeting Escobar is invited to attend the workshop.

The movie "Come What May" (www.comewhatmaythemovie.com), which has the Dove Family Approval, will be shown at 7 p.m. This is "a strong spiritual film about doing what is right." "Come What May" is a family film with powerful themes about truth, courage, marriage, courtship, and life. It touches the hearts and minds of everyone in the family - moms, dads, children, teens, and young adults. "Come What May" is a vivid reminder that choosing what's right is never easy, but it's always worth the cost.

Although admission to both events is free, there will be an opportunity to make a free-will offering following these events.

For more information about the movie or filmmaking workshop call the Pregnancy Center at 325-5051.
