More than $350K given in scholarships to local students

FREEPORT - The Highland Community College Foundation recently distributed more than $350,000 to Highland students for the 2011-2012 academic year, at its annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Sept. 25.

Heidi Huber, Cedarville, received the Kathleen A. Reed Memorial scholarship; Daniel Dick, Lena, received the Ada Mook Memorial scholarship; Jenny Farmer, Lena, received the Ennega/Holm Memorial scholarship; Cody Hooper, Lena, received the Achievement Defined scholarship; Chelsey Kaiser, Lena, received the Robert and Lois Harlan scholarship; Daniel Kurth, Lena, received the Margaret and Clarence Mitchell scholarship; Andy Lake, Lena, received the Athletic Memories scholarship; Shannon McFadden, Lena, received the Joey Stott scholarship; Gretchen Rose, Lena, received the ABWA - TLC Chapter scholarship; Traci Rose, Lena, received the Joey Stott scholarship; Casey Rutter, Lena, received the Charles Endress Memorial scholarship; Ashley Switzer, Lena, received the Harold D. Walkup scholarship; Adam Troxell, Lena, received the Marion Byram scholarship; Rachel Visel, Lena, received the Louis Fauser/Bankers Mutual Life scholarship; Mandy Winning, Lena, received the Dr. and Mrs. Ozro Hill scholarship; and Kendra Love, Orangeville, received the Roger A. Hutmacher Memorial scholarship.
