MONROE - There will be a blood drive from 11:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. March 26 at the United Methodist Church, 2227 4th St.

Blood is a perishable product that can only come from generous volunteers. By donating blood, individuals can make a difference in the lives of patients in their community.

To make an appointment or to learn more, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit redcrossblood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS or 1-800-733-2767.

Completion of a RapidPass online health history questionnaire found at redcrossblood.org/rapidpass is encouraged to help speed up the donation process. A blood donor card or driver's license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Donors must be 17 years old or older or 16 with parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in generally good health. Donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight requirements.
