Monroe: Teen book club meeting is Friday at library

MONROE - Students in middle and high school are invited to the first meeting of the Monroe Public Library's teen book club, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 7. They will discuss "Surviving the Applewhites" by Stephanie S. Tolan and enjoy related activities. Copies of "Surviving the Applewhites" are available for check out in the teen area and the children's room of the library. Participants are expected to have read the book before the meeting. They will also be choosing the next book they will read and compile a list of possible titles for the future.

Students in sixth through 12th grades are also invited to discuss planning teen programs and activities for the coming summer at the MPL teen group meeting at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 14. After the general meeting, teens will have an opportunity to explore theater games and improv comedy. Snacks will be served.
