MONROE - Monroe announced the winners of its spelling bee on Jan. 21.
The following students will represent Monroe at the regional spelling bee in Stoughton on Thursday, Feb. 14. First-place winner was Jacob Udell, fifth-grader at Parkside; second-place winner was Kelsie Pulvermacher, eighth-grader at Monroe Middle School; third-place winner was Sam Jiang, eighth-grader at Monroe Middle School; and fourth-place winner was Ezekial Frankford, eighth-grader at Monroe Middle School.
Alternates include Allison Brennan, fifth-grader at St. Victor School, and Jessica Schmitt, fifth-grader at Abraham Lincoln Accelerated Learning Academy.
