MONROE - Monroe's two-day city-wide garage sales are scheduled May 8 and May 9. The two-day sales will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine, and will include all of Monroe.
Fifty registrations are needed by May 1 to be able to cover the advertising costs of the spring city-wide sales. If 50 registrations are not reached by May 1, the event will be canceled.
Registration forms are available at Monroe Pick N' Save, Piggly Wiggly, the Monroe Chamber of Commerce and Industry office or at www.monroechamber.org. To register, complete the form and submit it along with a $10 registration fee to the Monroe Chamber office. Forms may be dropped off or mailed to the chamber, 1505 9th St.
Registration forms must be submitted by 4 p.m. April 30 in order to be assured inclusion on the city-wide garage sale map. Registrations will be accepted at the Monroe Chamber office now through 4 p.m. April 30.
A map listing all registered sellers will be available starting May 6.
