MONROE — On Monday, March 9, the Monroe High School Math Team competed in the Rock Valley Conference Math Meet in East Troy. The team took first place and returned to Monroe with a conference championship trophy.

The trip was also highlighted by Addison Eckerty taking first place individually out of nearly 70 varsity mathletes that competed. Other schools participating included Big Foot, Clinton, Delavan-Darien, East Troy, Edgerton, Evansville, Beloit Turner, and Whitewater.

The MHS Math Team finishes the year as Rock Valley Conference Champions as well as Division 2 champions of the UW-Platteville Math Meet that happened earlier in November. 

“We are super proud of our team and are continuously impressed by how hard these kids work to meet their goals,” said MHS Math teacher Matthew Bordner.
