Monroe: Hypnotist to help smokers Saturday

MONROE - A Monroe hypnotist is giving smokers an opportunity to kick the nicotine habit and help the local animal shelter at the same time.

Hypnotist Nancy Matthews is planning a session to help people quit smoking through hypnotism. She will hypnotize people in a session at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Amcore Bank in Monroe. The smoking cessation session will last about two hours.

The session will cost $30. There is room for up to 30 participants. All proceeds will be donated to the Green County Humane Society.
