COLUMBIA, Mo. - Sarah Sabatke of Monroe recently was named a Justin Huang Scholar at the University of Missouri.
As a Justin Huang Scholar, Sabatke will help promote peace studies events and courses, run student outreach initiatives and assist with the program's digital needs.
Sabatke, a 2014 graduate of Monroe High School, is a sophomore at the University of Missouri, where she is majoring in journalism with a minor in peace studies. She is a resident assistant for the Department of Residential Life and is completing an internship as a college correspondent for "USA Today."
Sabatke's parents are Doug and Debbi Sabatke.
