JANESVILLE - A former Monroe graduate and her pet will compete Dec. 4 and 5, in Long Beach Calif., at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship.

Michelle Duke is the former Michelle Diedrick and now resides in Janesville. Duke and her Schipperke, Trevor will be among the contenders.

They will compete against the top show dogs in the country.

Cash prizes awarded total more than $225,000. The competition is invitation only.
