MONROE - Rylee Svendsen, who had a lemonade stand at her aunt Penny Grinnell's house for two days last week, raised a total of $1,262 to aid in Hurricane Harvey relief.

The 9-year-old took in $334 selling lemonade and collecting donations from those who stopped at her stand. The rest of the money came from donations from her aunt, grandparents and great-grandparents.

The money will be given to the Lions Club, so the local organization can send the money to victims of Hurricane Harvey in Houston.

Grinnell said Svendsen sold about 20 gallons of lemonade Aug. 30 and 31.
