Monroe Fund names new board members

MONROE - The Monroe Fund, a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc., announced its advisory board members and 2013 officers.

The 2013 board includes Dan Bartholf, chair; Rosemary Forcade, recorder; and Nadine Brown, who replaced Shelley Kubly Muranyi after her term expired.

Members who continue their terms on the board are: Bill Bethke, Sue Buholzer, Rich Hager, Tom Mitchell, Todd Schluesche, Ron Spielman and Christie Strait.

The Monroe Fund Grant cycle is now open. Projects that serve the greater Monroe area are eligible. Requests from individuals are not eligible.

The Monroe Fund looks for projects or programs that propose practical solutions to current community needs in the areas of the arts, education, historic preservation and health and human services.

All applications must be postmarked or submitted no later than 4 p.m. Monday, April 15. To apply, complete the application online at www.cfsw.org, print, sign and send to the Monroe Fund, P.O. box 733, Monroe, WI 53566.
