MONROE - Logan Wells, Joe Austin, Nick Huber, Travis Bader, and Keri Ellefson of the Monroe FFA Chapter attended the National FFA Organization's Made For Excellence Conference Marcy 28-29 at The Plaza Hotel and Suites in Eau Claire. More than 170 FFA members and advisors participated in this national personal development conference held bi-annually in Wisconsin. This year's theme was "The Great Outdoors". Made For Excellence (MFE) is a two-day personal development seminar designed primarily for high school freshman and sophomores. The conference focuses on the personal growth of each individual person. Students learn about using conflict resolution techniques appropriately, setting goals and building self-esteem.

During this conference, students set their plan of action in place to reach their full high school potential. The objectives of the conference include: making connections for the future; identifying goals; appreciation of a changing world; gaining confidence in their abilities; awareness of new opportunities available; determining capacity for risk; effective team and leadership skills; and appreciation for diversity.

Maria Eberle and Luke Peterson of the Monroe FFA Chapter attended the EDGE Conference on March 28-29. This is a personal development conference designed especially for junior high and middle school students in the FFA organization to better understand who they are and realize their potential early on. EDGE stands for Experiencing, Discovery, Growth and Excellence.
