Monroe Fall Leaf Collection
fall autumn leaves

MONROE — The City of Monroe will begin picking up leaves on Tuesday, Oct. 15 until the first significant snowfall.

The Streets Division will be using a leaf vac system and is asking residents to place their leaves on the terrace in windrows rather than into the gutter for collection. This will prevent debris from entering the storm sewer system when it rains, which can cause flooding and increased phosphorus levels.

Do not place any branches in with the leaves as this could result in damaging the leafing equipment. Any branches or other yard waste debris can be taken down to the Free Yard Waste Drop Off Site at 1064 5th Avenue until Nov. 1.

For any questions, contact the City of Monroe Streets Division at 608-329-2490 Monday-Thursday between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
