MONROE - The diabetes support group at the Monroe Clinic will discuss neuropathy and foot care from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at the clinic building, main campus, lower level.

Diabetes-related foot complications are a leading reason that people with diabetes are hospitalized. Diabetes can cause nerve and blood vessel damage to the feet and lead to infection, foot ulcers and amputation. Porper footwear can help prevent those complications.

Dennis Janisse, president and CEO of National Pedorthic Services, will discuss proper footwear and care of the feet, as well as Medicare coverage for therapeutic footwear.
