MONROE — Monroe Clinic & Hospital Foundation, a member of SSM Health, hosted its 20th Annual Golf Outing on August 5 at the Monroe Golf Club. The event drew an impressive turnout of 129 golfers, raising more than $82,320 to support the Mission of expanding access to local healthcare.
The beautiful day of golf was followed by a vibrant Fiesta-themed celebration at Ludlow Mansion Events. Guests enjoyed a colorful and luxurious street taco buffet, accompanied by Latin-inspired music performed by Hugo Espinoza, SSM Health Monroe Hospital’s Language Services Coordinator, creating a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Foundation’s Future of Healthcare Endowment Fund and General Fund, which support a variety of initiatives. One current project includes the installation of new patient room whiteboards in the Inpatient, ICU, and Emergency Departments at SSM Health Monroe Hospital this fall. These whiteboards are designed to improve communication and elevate the overall patient experience.
Over the last year, the Foundation has funded numerous impactful initiatives, including three Cardiovascular Prep and Recovery Suites, refresh of the Freeport Clinic, creating the Healing Garden outside of Oncology, as well as supporting the Reach Out & Read Program, P.A.R.T.Y. Program, and SSM Health at Home’s hospice services in Monroe.
“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from our community, sponsors, and volunteers who make this event such a success year after year,” said Jane Sybers, Executive Director of Monroe Clinic & Hospital Foundation. “Every dollar raised helps enhance care and impact patient experience right here at home.”
A special thank you to Ace Sponsor, CG Schmidt, for their seventh-time sponsorship at the $10,000 level. Special recognition also to Ruda Toyota and Monroe Radio Shack AT&T for their hole-in-one sponsorship.
