MONROE - The Youth Services Department of the Monroe Public Library will welcome March with a special opportunity for families to gather and celebrate the joy of reading.
Families are invited to Celebrate Seuss! at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4. The program marks the 10th year the library has joined millions of readers worldwide during Read Across America. Youth Services Librarian, Kristen Ault, will be reading some of the less familiar Seuss stories, and there will be a round robin of crafts and activities.
Held each year on or near the anniversary of the birth of children's author, Theodore Giesel, better known as Dr. Seuss, Read Across America has become the largest celebration of reading in the world.
There is no registration required for this free family program. The Monroe Public Library is located at 925 16th Avenue in Monroe. For more information, contact the Youth Services Department of the Monroe Public Library at (608) 328-7010.
