PLATTEVILLE - Monroe artists Jeanne Ausmus and Joan Stackpole have their work on display in the 22nd Annual Spring Exhibit at the Rountree Gallery, 345 East Main St., Platteville.
Ausmus submitted a colored pencil drawing entitled "Madison Street Music," which shows a group of musicians performing outdoors. Stackpole entered two acrylic paintings: "Hot Tongues," a still life of a snake plant, and "Copper."
The exhibit opened on April 4 and runs through May 1 and includes artwork from area artists and artisans of all ages. Judging will be done in three categories - youth, teen and adult - as well as "People's Choice" awards, which are based on votes cast by visitors to the gallery.
The artists' reception will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. May 1, with the awards ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Exhibit details are available on the Platteville city website at www.platteville.org.
