APPLETON — The Trout Museum of Art, 111 W. College Ave., will feature a Monroe artist, Amy Carani, in the Art is Her exhibition series.
From June 6 to July 31, nine of Amy’s bright and bold acrylic paintings will be on display in the Atrium Gallery at the museum.
The year 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing women’s right to vote. The passage is the largest expansion of democracy in U.S. history. Throughout 2020 and 2021, Art is Her celebrates women artists and explores the relevance of equal rights in art today.
Amy Carani’s paintings have been on display at The Dubuque Museum of Art, The Wright Museum of Art, The Trout Museum of Art, Rockford Art Museum, Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, various University of Wisconsin Art Galleries and a few performing art center galleries in Wisconsin and Illinois. Amy lives in Monroe with her husband and daughter.
