MMS concert is March 3

MONROE - The Monroe Middle School Seventh and Eighth Grade bands will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3 in the Middle School's south gymnasium. The public is invited, and free-will donations will be accepted at the door.

The Seventh Grade band will play "Atlantic Crossing" by Alan Lee Silva, "Land Of The Rising Sun" by Michael Story, "Serengeti" by John Higgins, "Pegasus" by Michael Sweeny, and "Highlights From The Star Wars Saga" arranged by Paul Cook.

The Eighth Grade band will continue the concert with "Kensington Square" by Carl Strommen, led by guest conductor Justin Olson. Randy Sievert will continue with the remainder of the eighth grade program: "Remember" by Melanie Donohue, "Suite For The Endangered" by Jennings, and "First Suite In Eb" by Holst, arranged for young band by Michael Sweeney.

To conclude the concert, the groups will combine to perform "Bay View March" and "Flight From The Hills." The middle school bands are directed by Randy Sievert and Randy Schneeberger.
